Every project has its own story, and this stunning Citroën Relay camper conversion is a perfect example of how a van can be transformed into a fully equipped, home-from-home motorhome – designed not just for its owners, but for their two much-loved dogs as well.

This lovely Citroen relay started life as a brand new panel van. From the very beginning, the design brief was clear: this van needed to be as comfortable for the dogs. With that in mind, our team created a layout that combines style, practicality, and adventure-ready features, while making sure the furry family members have all the space and comfort they need on the road.

Designed with Dogs in Mind

The heart of this build is a large custom dog cage, neatly mounted under the bed system. This clever design keeps the dogs safe and secure during travel while maximising space in the living area. By choosing a pull-out kitchen unit, we also freed up valuable floor space so the dogs can relax comfortably when the family are parked up.

Full Motorhome Comforts

This isn’t just a van – it’s a fully loaded motorhome conversion. Inside you’ll find:

• Toilet and shower room with hot and cold running water.
• 100L underslung water tank, feeding the gas-powered water heater, shower and kitchen.
• Underslung LPG tank with a solenoid switch – ferry and Channel Tunnel safe.
• Pull-out kitchen, fully plumbed with gas, hot and cold water.
• Full 12V and 240V electrics, powered by a large roof-mounted solar panel.
• Twin lithium batteries, offering long-lasting off-grid energy.

This setup means Ian, Maxine, and their dogs are ready for everything – from long European tours to a spontaneous wild camping trip to the beach.

Storage and Living Space

No motorhome is complete without clever storage, and this Citroën Relay conversion delivers:

• A cosy seating area with built-in storage.
• A top-loading fridge positioned at the end of the seats – so you can grab a cold drink without even standing up!
• Overhead lockers throughout, providing plenty of room for essentials.
• Roof racks capable of holding two large storage bags – ideal for long adventures.

For extra comfort, we added roof vents with integrated blinds for airflow, an electric step for easy access, and a wind-out Fiamma F65 awning, creating a shady outdoor space on hot summer days.
